Oval Tear Drop Shaped Routed Box

This was a project I used my Laser Engraver for. I drew the shape for this in Corel Draw and cut out the router template out of some masonite. I used the masonite template to make a 1/2″ MDF template that the bearing on my bowl bit would ride on a little easier. This was my first attempt at a routed box. I don’t like the screws that hold the two tear drop tops on but the rest of it came out really nice. The lids are made from American Black Walnut and the box is Spalted Maple.
